Mandalay Bay will host the second Wahlburgers restaurant on the Las Vegas Strip. The hamburger chain is slated to open “in late March” at the former Burger Bar at Mandalay Place, which closed its doors in January 2021.
The Wahlberg brothers – Mark, Donnie, and Paul – are the owners of the burger joint. Mark is the well-known movie star and newest Las Vegas resident, while his siblings Donnie and Paul are less famous but have a very important role in the restaurant business. Paul is the chef of the family and is responsible for the management of the 90+ locations in the US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
At 5K square feet, the new Wahlburgers at Mandalay Bay will seat up to 150 guests and feature an expansive bar area with multiple HDTVs for watching sports games while enjoying a beer or an adult shake.
The first Wahlburgers in Las Vegas opened in the Grand Bazaar Shops near Bally’s Las Vegas in mid-2016.
UnCommon Sandwiches
A renowned sandwich shop is coming to the UnCommons mixed-use development on the southwest side of Las Vegas. All’Antico Vinaio (translating to “at the ancient wine merchants”) will be one of the dozen upscale eateries launching at The Sundry food hall this June.
Started in Florence, Italy in 1989, the shop has been hailed as one of the world’s best by the online gourmet website saveur.com. Las Vegas will be its third US location, following openings in 2021 and 2022 in New York. The menu will include nearly 20 sandwiches, including the renowned La Schiacciata Del Boss – which features freshly imported Italian prosciutto toscano, pecorino toscano, and truffle cream.
The Sundry is curated by Las Vegas restaurateur Patric Yumul and Michelin-starred Chef Michael Mina. It will offer two full-service restaurants, a common kitchen with a chef’s table, a central bar, a communal dining area, and outdoor spaces.
Side Dishes
If you’re looking for some unique dining options, Zai, a Mexican eatery renowned for its international dishes, will open its first US location at 700 E. Fremont St. in downtown Las Vegas on March 31. The restaurant will include a rooftop nightclub.
